do you need an appointment to try on dresses?

Absolutely not!  We are happy to offer walk in hours on Tuesday/Wednesday/Friday from 1p to 7p and Thursday from 1p to 8p, however, we ask that you make an appointment during our busy days of Saturday & Sunday.  If you do venture in when we have an appointment in the store, we ask that you be patient & acknowledge that our attention is dedicated to the appointment.  You are welcome to browse & even try on - our two fitting rooms share the same mirror space so respect of others is what we expect & what you should expect when you book an appointment with us!

How long is an appointment?

We offer 60 minute or 90 minute appointments during our Tuesday thru Friday hours as well as outside of our regular hours per special request.  Never hesitate to call or email us about an odd day or hour time slot!

What happens at an appointment?

Well, we kind of let you determine what happens!  We want you to feel comfortable and at ease while you shop for such an important purchase.  Feel free to bring an entourage or no one at all - we are here to guide you in whatever way you need.  Since we are bringing a little southern hospitality to our new, northern roots we will gladly offer you (& your entourage) a beverage to sip & tasty treats to snack on before or after you try on.  Each bride has a different experience, some try on 3 or 4 gowns and are satisfied, for others it's practically the whole store - just remember you don't want to overwhelm yourself on your first visit & it's quite possible that you will like more than one gown!  Take your time and enjoy the experience, you can always come back and try on more with a fresh mind.

How long does a dress take to come in?

Our lovely designers vary in delivery time, but generally they take anywhere from 5-6 months (depending on the time of the year) & each designer offers rush delivery options if need be.  You, also, want to keep in mind the time you will need for altering the dress to make it fit you properly, so with that being said we suggest ordering a minimum of 7-10 months out to avoid rush fees.

do you offer alterations?

We do not offer in-house alterations, however, we have teamed up with three lovely studios in the Greater Philadelphia area that offer quality seamstress work.

what size are your samples?

Our samples run anywhere from size 6 to size 14.

do you carry bridesmaid dresses?

We currently carry Kelly Faetanini's social occasion/bridesmaid line that could potentially work for bridesmaids, mother of the bride/groom, guest of wedding, or any other event or reason you may need a fancy dress!  Have you seen Breakfast at Tiffany's?  We hope to carry more social occasion wear by Winter 2016.

what is your price range and payment options?

The price range for our dresses start at $1,600 and go up to $5,000 - with the average dress costing between $2,200 - $3,500.  When you are ready to make the purchase we require a 60% deposit & the remainder of the balance is due within 14 days of your dress arriving in the store.  You are welcome to make smaller payments between ordering and the dress coming in.  We accept all major credit cards, checks, and, of course, cash.

what is a trunk show?

Great question! A trunk show is when we showcase a specific designer (normally for one long weekend) and their newest collection.  The designer will send us their entire new collection as well as some of their best sellers, which can end up being an additional 10-20 dresses in store for that weekend...in addition to a nice discount of 10-15% off as an incentive to purchase that weekend (not too shabby)!  We usually only have 1-2 trunk shows per designer each year; Fall & Spring.
